Hello everyone,

I just signed up in here looking for serious motivation and help. I don't have motivation or support at home. I'm male, 5"8 and 228 pounds. I've been a yoyo dieter for almost all my life and at some point I was at my targeted weight of 150.

I'm looking to be healthier for me, my wife and kids.

Looking forward to the start off this and some support motivation from this site.

Kinelisch.

This time you WILL NOT fail! Welcome, hang in there, we believe in you.

Hi Kinelisch! You can do it!!

I am a newcomer, too and I my partner and I have decided to try and get fit together. We've been in a relationship for a bit over six years and we've both definitely gotten bit soft as we get more comfortable with each other. Yagh! Not great!

I was excited to see that you are doing this for your wife and kids! That is inspiring! What made you decide to finally do it? What about your wife? Is she in a similar situation?

Oh, some words of encouragement! I came from a family where everyone is/was obese, for the most part. I had to learn how to eat healthily in a slow and steady manner. It's been years in the process. YEARS. I definitely have been on up and down diets since... well, a long time! I remember my family trying all kinds of things starting from when I was a child. I remember trying the ZONE Diet, the lemonade fast, shoot, endless self-help nutrition books at home. The biggest change for me occurred when I stopped eating red meat at 15 years old, then birds at 18 and then dairy at 21. Those were big changes, but somehow I was able to do it at that young age and it's stuck ever since. Other than that, I've just slowly tried things - made small changes and some of them stuck. These days I have a super great diet, for the most part. I just need to get on the exercise wagon.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to support you!!

Im new here too been trying this diet so far its working good:) So hang in there!!
