Newbie Here! Hi Everyone!

:) I just thought I would say hello to all and introduce myself. I am 24 years old (about to be 25) and I just had a new baby May 7th, 2006. I also have a 2 year old. I am looking to lose about 10-15 more pounds. I made it to 157 this morning :) so I was happy about that. I do a lot of walking on the treadmill after my kids go to sleep as its not much motivation doing it when they keep crying. So I have been doing it at night. Every once in a while I get to do it in the morning. I usually do between 20-30 minutes of walking and I jog on it some in between. I want to lose my stomach and my love handles. I have lost almost all of my stomach, but not as much as I would like. I do crunches some too. I also want to know of any ways to lose cellulite. I don't have it bad at all, but I do have it mostly on my thigh area and buttocks some. Does excersising just help get rid of that? I would like to know the best excersizes to get rid and work on the areas I mentioned above. Is it better to take any weight loss supplement or to just do it on my own? I stay at home all the time due to the kids, so I have time to workout. My husband has a gym downstairs next to an office and I go there to workout only I would like to know better workouts if possible for me. He has lots of equipment there, there is a machine or equiptment to work all areas of the body. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Hi Dayna,
First off, welcome to the site and congrats on you new baby. As far as weight training goes, you want to train your whole body. I would suggest doing up to 3 full body workouts a week to get you going. As far as losing fat, your diet is key there. What you eat plays a major role in reducing overall bodyfat. You can do exercises for a certain bodypart, but that doesn't mean the fat will "go away" from that bodypart. Unfortunately it is not that easy. Eat 5-6 smaller meals a day, each containing a protein and a carb. Drinks lot of water. Weight train, adding muscle to your body will make it more efficient at burning fat. Do not train the same bodypart for at least 48 hours. Get enough sleep. Well there are a few things that will help you achieve your goals.

Thanks for the reply. I had been busy the past few days and didn't have time to get on here. Everything that you told me is pretty much what my husband has been trying to tell me. Thanks. It just sometimes feels like nothing is working. The pounds are slowly coming off, but my size isn't moving much. I am not big at all, and I have always had a very high metabolism, but I think it has a lot to do with my hips moving apart from being pregnant. Not sure if there is anything that can be done about that. Anyways, I ordered me one of those Ab Lounge Chair XL's today. I am getting it Saturday. That will hopefully work my abs comfortably.

Hi Dayna,
Congrats on your new child. My hat goes off to you for having the energy (or maybe just the will) to walk the treadmill everynight after caring for your 2yr old and newborn all day. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
