Newb!

Hey guys. I'm new and I found this site by just googling around. I found a lot of the threads very informational. I'm here to lose weight and I have already lost 20lbs so far. I am 17(a current senior in HS) and not afraid to say I am overweight and have been since I could remember. I am from a filipino background which means rice is a staple for my family XD. However I am currently converting to low intakes of brown rice. Hmmm my favorite activities are tennis, volleyball, and basketball. Favorite foods would have to be rice XD, apples, and fish. I'm trying to eat all raw veggies however most raw veggies don't appeal to me opposed to if it were cooked/steamed (ex/ broccoli). I'm also currently re-doing my meal plans/workout plans because of everything I learned here. Well now I'm just rambling, so I'll see you guys in the threads (most likely questioning everything XD )

^^Ahh! I see in your signature that you are enrolled in KENDO? Wow, I've always been interested in kendo, but there isn't a dojo here that is currently enrolling new students. Bummer.
 
Nope, no kendo, I practice Shotokan Karate.

Kendo is sword fighting with bokkens or wooden swords. Shotokan is empty hand :)
 
My cousin is in kendo...I totally make fun of him for running around with foil on his head, swinging a stick and yelling, "HA!"

And then I laugh and laugh and laugh...I'm laughing right now, in fact.
