New Years Resolution

time to get a couple days head start on my new years resolution. i want to get in the best shape of my life. I am 5'10 175 pounds and rather built already. i want to lose my stomach and most extra bodyfat by lets say april 1 and have that six pack ready for spring break!!! i want to reach 155 which is probably as low as physically possible without losing muscle. back to running nightly and eating right. first week goal is five pounds that i put on this holiday season....
 
Good luck. 5 lbs sounds like a lot - especially if you are already in pretty good shape. Do you have a specific workout in mind? I know that sprints and varying speeds and intensity worked really well for me in the spring summer. I also did a good workout that kicked my butt for about 6 weeks that helped shed a lot of body fat and really trim down. You can find it at T-Nation if you search "complexes for fat loss."

I kind of cheated on anything that required me to jump - just did the movement more explosively. It was a good workout and after about 2 sets you really want to quit.
 
20lbs is definitely doable (2lbs a week over 10-12 weeks), but getting from flabby to abby in 3 months is ambitious. Best of luck to you.
