I've been seeing ads for this stuff all over the place.

They claim 10 calories (per serving, of course, which I believe is 25 per bottle) with no artificial sweetners.

I looked up the ingredients list:
reverse osmosis water, crystalline fructose (sweetener), erthritol (sweetener), natural flavor, citric acid, ascorbic acid, gum acacia, rebiana (stevia extract), magnesium lactate, natural caffeine, ester gum, guarana seed extract, calcium lactate, niacin, monopotassium phosphate, pantothenic acid, b-carotene, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamin

Doesn't look very "natural" to me, but whatevs.

Has anyone tried this stuff? Is it tasty?

mmm... i never tried that one but since i find it "suspicious" as well, i have to try and search on it..:coolgleamA::smash:

I tried it a few days after I posted this...

The VitaminWater10 was actually much tastier and sweeter than I expected, and it didn't give you that "diet" taste that some other drinks can give you.

I looked up the main sweetener, Crystalline Fructose on Wiki and it says:

Crystalline fructose is a processed sweetener derived from corn, just like High Fructose Corn Syrup, but enriched with fructose. The fructose is crystallized, dried, and milled, then used as a sweetener in the likes of beverages and yogurts. It consists of 98% fructose and <2% other minerals (HFCS is 55% fructose). Crystalline Fructose is estimated to be about 20 percent sweeter than table sugar and can shave up to 20-30 calories off a 12oz bottled drink.

There are studies for and against the health benefits of crystalline sugar, depending which side of the sugar industry you are on.

But the drink was yummy, and with only 25 calories per bottle....it's a nice little treat. I still feel like I'm cheating when I drink it though.
