Hi, I'm Jen, and I want to lose weight!
This looks like an active, friendly, supportive and successful group, hope you've got room for me here.
A little info:
I am 35, about 100lbs overweight at 5'10" and 250lbs.
I live in NY, am married 11 years with 3 living children, all under 6 years old.
I have lost weight before, on ediets, about 40lbs a few years ago, but have regained it and not lost since.
I am a SAHM and have exercize equipment, just need to dust it off.
I deal with a few obstacles, depression, laziness and demanding small children.
So, please help me! I need to beccome a healthy, happy person. Life is too short to waste on being fat and miserable!
Jen

Hey Jen!! Welcome to the group! I know you will love it here!! I too am dealing with depression.. and you will not believe how much better you will feel after starting to work out! Good Luck to you on your diet! I'll stop by and check on you!!

Hi Fellow Newbie!

I'm new also, but this looks like a great place already! Christin (hope I have that name right) is correct about the exercise helping depression! Wow, those endorphins can do a lot! I know it's hard to do with three little kids, though, but were there's a will, there's a way! Good luck to all of us! :)

Welcome to our forum glad you decided to join! We are here if you need us and we know YOU CAN DO THIS!

Thanks for the welcome :)
I think I did fairly well today, had cottage cheese (with pineapple) & almonds for breakfast, an orange, a salad with a few strips of grilled chicken, and a tuna melt for dinner. Oh and 2 giant mugs of coffee with breakfast, a mug of chai tea after lunch and about 72oz of water. But no exercize

If you do, make sure you mention its your diary so it doesn't get confused w/ spamming

Hi Jen!

I'm a coffee lover too. I'm not really clear on whether or not it's detrimental to us in moderation -- some places I've read say that the caffeine in one cup of coffee will rev up the metabolism in the morning, and to have another cup in the afternoon to do the same thing. Other places say to stay away from it.

I figure moderation is key. I buy decaf and regular, then mix them half & half to cut down on the caffeine.

Welcome to the forum!
