new to workingout

i am about 5'9 height.. and i weight 145 pounds
20 years old female

i just joined the gym today and my plan is to have more energy, get toned and strength my knee because its weak from dislocation (been few years but still need to work on it)

my question is.. what should be my schedule for a beginner? and how can i work my way up? i did an hour workout today including cycling, treadmill, walking, arms&legs workout..

i want to lose around 10 pounds and then remain my weight..

also how long and often i should go?

Starting at 3x a week is fine. I would start you on doing body weight stuff for your lower body and normal weight training for your upper body. Eating is key to any fitness program! If your not eating right and clean the your gains will be minimal if at all. Its not only about doing cardio. Don't be afraid to lift weights either a lot of females are scared of lifting weights because they think they are going to get huge. This is impossible without any growth hormones that you supplement. Your body as a female does not produce the amounts of growth hormones needed to gain the size that men see.
