Hi, i want to start working out and get fit. Ive been searching the internet all day about different things and it all so confusing lol. I used to lift weights but i dont think it was very effective because i had no idea what i was doing. Ive came up with a routine but im a bit confused about the amount of times per week i should train each muscle group. Ill write down what ive came up with and if anybody could give me some tips would be very appreciated I dont know if im using the proper terms, ive found most of these on youtube.
Monday- Chest - 4 sets of 7 normal pushups 7 outward pushups and 7 inward pushups in a row
- Planning to get dumbells for dumbell fly sets
Triceps- 4 sets of Tricep extensions, dips, tricep dips then 20 second tricep strech, getting higher with tricep extensions each set
- Planning to get benchpress for skull crushers
Tuesday- Biceps - 6 sets of bar curls
- i need to get dumbells for other bicep method i forget what its called
Wednesday - rest day
Thursday - Shoulder excercises (im still not sure what im going to do)
Friday - Should i do chest, tricep and bicep workout but lower sets?
Sat/sun - rest days( maby sunday do shoulders again?
Im also going to do cardio before each workout, and work in abs throughout the week. But my main question is how often should i train each muscle? And how many sets/reps should i do per workout? Thanks
