Hi, I'm Robyn. I'm 23 I'll be 24 next Tuesday. I currently weigh 188, which is the heaviest I have ever been. I'm only "5" tall and I really have a desire to get back in shape.I started gaining weight back in 2012 and I haven't been addressing it.I'm ready to get back to the fit me. I want to lose at least 60 pounds in all. I've tried to lose weigh the pass few years and I always lose my motivation. Hopefully I can find a buddy to help keep me motivated and help me reach my goal. I know the journey won't be over night but I'm prepared to stick it out this time. I want to get my weight in check while I'm still young. Hopefully being open will help with that.. :)

We're all buddies here! Welcome to the forum, Robyn92! What is your plan of action if you don't mind me asking? You'll gut it out, figuratively and literally, and be so happy with the result. Get to kicking that weight's butt! I know you can do it.

Hey "dudeitstime", I honestly don't have a solid plan of action. As of now I'm trying to learn to eat more proportionate. Also I'm currently drinking water with every meal and cutting out juices soft drinks, and sodas completely. I want to eventually start going for walks and transition it to runs. I don't like gyms I never know where to start I rather get outside and be active. I hope it warms up soon so I can start the second phase.

I hear you about the weather. It's been pretty cold here lately. Maybe you could give Youtube a shot for working out inside. Not entirely the same but it at least can keep you occupied, plus thousands of great work out videos. I used to do the Tae Bo series a lot! Sounds like you've got yourself a start and that is the beginning to being successful in your goals. Keep running with it!

Hi Robyn

I suggest to create your plan and try to follow it. and Don't Let No One Get You Down. Trust yourself and don't give up

good luck I wish you the best

Hello! I'm also 23 and want to get back down to my ideal weight. I've made a start on my weight loss but have lost motivation for the last month and want a buddy to help me get going again. I'm about 148 lbs and 5'6". Ideally I would like to be about 125lbs, but would be happy at around 130.

I love pudding and hate exercising. I've signed up to a half marathon to try to force my hand, but have been slacking recently. It would be great to have someone to help take the misery out of the process, and help me remember this is actually a positive thing!

Hi Robyn, your'e on the right track! Diet is the most important when it comes to changing your physique. Also, you have to get your rest which is just as important since that is when your muscles actually recover so it is recommended that you get 7-8 hours of sleep. I know this might sound like a hassle but I recommend you figure out how many calories you need on a daily basis to lose about 1-2 pounds a week and count all your calories in every meal you eat. Try to space them out to about 5 small meals a day. Hope this helps! Good luck on your transformation.

Hello, we have all been there before trust me. Personally to motivate myself I just remember the reason I started. Why did I decide to change my life and work out? Also, remember all the work you have put into working out and how you can't let it go to waste. You can also try picturing the end result once you reach your goal. For instance, you will have the body you always dreamed of and will be healthier and more confident! Don't stop now, your goal is really close!
