Hi to everyone out there! I'm a 40 year old (ooo, that stings) single mother of two. I can no longer (and couldn't for a while), say I'm trying to take of pregnancy weight (my kids are 12 and 15). I live in Western PA and work full-time and have been determined for the past 6 years to find a way to lose 20 lbs. and keep it off. I've managed, every year, to lose about10-15 lbs., but keeping it off is another story. Every January I start the year the same way - wanting to kick myself for having to focus on weightloss. Every year as I hit about a 5 lb. weightloss I get excited because I think I finally have done it. I buy a couple pieces of new clothing, but by October, they don't fit. My wardrobe stinks right now because everything is too tight. I'm hoping to try to stay connected to this site for support and commitment. Anyway, good luck to everyone and I hope we all succeed.

Welcome, its pretty normal to go into that cycle, like in January the gym fills with people for a month, Weight watchers is flooded for a month. Losing weight is a life commitment, once you lose the weight it doesn't go off permanently, you have to keep excercising and eating right. One thing you gotta do is eat 6 small meals a day and drink plenty of water, if you have any questions someone here will answer them for ya and good luck to you.
