New to the site, reached my mini target

I am new to this site and today I reached my mini target of 100lbs gone, it actually ended up being 101, but since I only weigh on monday and thursday, I passed it and didn't even realize it. Started my diet on December 28, 2005 along with a dieting buddy, I think the motivation of a weight loss check every monday and thursday keeps me going and keeps my progress in check. Yeah, me!!!

congrats on the weight you have already lost. but not to worry you lost it and I found it lol.........welcome

i simply cut out all my soda, I didn't drink diet, never have been able to acquire a taste for it and just had to switch to just water, and lots of it. For my lunch and suppers i switched to the healthy choice dinners and i snack with either fruit or granola bars or the 100 calorie snack. I still have about another 100 pounds to go, i lose now about 2 to 3 pounds per week, I started out losing more per week, but I am still happy with 2 to 3 pounds per week. I am going to start adding some exercising to my weight lose, maybe it will speed it up.
 
Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on losing so much weight already! That is amazing that you have lost that much! I hope you start a diary so that we can all get to know you and have a place to offer you support. :D
 
It is amazing just how evil soda really is. That was one of the first things that I cut out and the results were immediate.

Two to three pounds per week is pretty good. That's 8 to 12 pounds per month. Like Lee says, it adds up.

Again, congrats on your first 100 and godspeed on your second 100. You are an inspiration.
