new to the fitness world

Hi, I'm a 26 y/o male in Southern Cali.. Ive always been a little scrawny, never really worked out growing up, and my metabolism is through the roof.. I've weighed 150 lbs for the past 8 years, 6' tall.. I can eat like a damn horse and never gain anything. I also live such a fast paced life that I don't think I need much cardio. I began excersizing at the gym a few months ago, and have been really active with it for about a month. My HR gets to 160 after just 5 minutes of running or biking, and I can't take much more.

Lately I've been trying to gain muscle mass and add on a few pounds. Everything I've read says to match your weight in grams of protein, and eat every 3 hours. Without a kitchen in my apt, I"ve lived on eating out for 2 years, it gets rather pricey to do so. I'm moving into a new place next week and want to start focusing on my nutrition. I drink a lot of milk, eat tons of fruit, and the rest is junk or fastfood.

Sorry to go on an on, there's a few questions that I have but I will post those in the proper forums. thanks in advance for the warm welcome!

hello and welcome :)

maybe look into getting an indoor grill and a food steamer to help you with your meals

You are probably going to need a fair amount of calories made up of alot of lean protien to get what you want.

haha yes, cake and jazz are two of my favorite things in life.. for PC reasons, I decided against using my first two choices :p what kinda username is titsbeer, anyways? hah!

Looks like you need a few knives, chopping boards, a small fridge and a
GORGE FOREMAN GRILL

They really are lean mean fat reducing grilling machines!!!!

You got all the hot sandwiches you could ask for! Remember tins of tuna, salad, and chicken breasts.
