New to here, hoping to learn as much as I can

Hi all... I am here to keep my motivation, motivate others, and learn as much as possible.

I am male, 5 11, and weighed 320 at my worst. In 2010 I went from 320 to 280, hit a plataeu, and had a kid. I just couldn't get back on it. I stayed at 280 for 5 years and last year I started to gain. I talked about dieting for 3 years and just couldnt do it. I have a horrible addiction to Pepsi. I call it my drug. There are times when I am driving and next thing I know I have a pepsi in my hand. It is almost like I black out and buy a pepsi.

On Jan 2nd this year I hit 300 again. It really made me sad. We had some plans that weekend so my wife and I vowed to do a lifestyle change and get healthy. On Jan 8th we started our change.

In 40 days I have lost 19.6 pounds. Neither one of us have had any sort of pop at all. Today I hit 280 and feeling good. My goal is to hit 260 before we go on vacation in April, then 240 before the beach in July.
 
Welcome! My addiction is Coke but I love pepsi as well lol I had a similar problem I hit a plateau when I was close to my weight goal. I've now gained the weight back and trying to restart my healthy lifestyle. I hope to reach my goal by May! Finger crossed! Good luck on your journey!
