New starter looking for some advice

Hi All

My current stats:

Age: 22
Weight: 72kg (159lbs)
Body Fat: 20.2%

I'm relatively new to the weights scene, although I have put time into running in the past.

I want to drop some of my body fat and 'Bulk up', I have a wedding to go to in Summer and I want to see the benefits by then (June).

Can you guys give me some advice on whether I should be trying to run away some of my Body fat and then bulk up from a smaller frame, or should I just forget the cardio work and stick to weight training, with the aim of losing the fat later?

I have a hectic schedule and typically get into the gym 2/3 times a week where possible. If anybody could give me some advise on my nutrition for this too. I currently take protein shake in the morning and a protein bar or 2 around gym time (one before and one after the gym). Overall I would say I consume around 2000 calories a day, and about 140/150g or protein. My intake is mainly vegtables and meat/fish, fish a few cheats here and there.

What is the best way forward? - What should I avoid and do you guys have any tips?

If you go to the gym for an hour, I would split your workout routine like this. 50 minutes of weight training, training to 70 - 90% of your maximum with every set. For the last 10 minutes I would do sprints that are split between 40 second walks/20 second sprints per minute for 10 minutes. The heavy weight training will cause hypertrophy in your muscles and the sprints will increase your metabolism and the amount of HGH (human growth hormone) in your body.
