hi, I'm dave and just looking for some advice, I'm about 4 stone overweight with not much muscle and in the last few weeks have been lifting weights 4 times a week and doing cardio for 2, but I'm just not getting anywhere, I'm eating about 1500 calories a day spread out, hardly any carbs and trying to get at least 1g of protein per lb of body weight. First week didn't lose anything, this week I've put on 3 lbs and becoming increasingly disheartened.
I am taking supplements for the weights and I know muscle weighs more than fat but I cant of lost that much fat and put on muscle.
My day
Wake up
2 brown toast peanut butter
1 shake nitro tech, protein and creatine

Before weights
NO Explode

After weights
Nitro tech shake, protein and creatine
Banana
Few haribos

1st meal
Steak or chicken

2nd meal
4 eggs scrambled

3rd meal
Minced beef or chicken

4th meal
Minced beef or chicken

Before bed
Casein protein shake

Now the meals are small about 200/300 calories and total intake including shakes are about 1500.

What should I do, stick with it, is it working or get rid of weights and protein, I'm lost

Thanks

My first piece of advice is to get rid of all the supplements, secondly, a few weeks is not enough time to show any serious progress in the gym.

Are you trying to go low carb or keto, if so what is your net carbs in grams ? remember those carbs should come from vegetables, not toast, which will kill off any serious attempt at low carb or keto due to the spike in blood sugar toast will create.

What is your weight and bodyfat %, if you don't know then you need to get it measured.

having lots of small meals is a myth when it comes to fat loss.

What doeas your 4 day per week training program look like ?
