So here is where I am at. I am 24 and need to get some of this weight off. I use to probably be around 140 and now am about 180. I need some advice. My friends wedding is in august and I would love to get some of the weight loss done before the wedding since I am one of her brides maide. Many tell me I look fine, but really I just hide it with baggy clothes. I was an avid soccer player until almost 2 years ago I had ACL surgery and that put a STOP to my college soccer career. So there is where the weight gain began. Soccer kept me slim and trim. Now, I find myself not wanting to do much because I DO SO much better when I am being pushed by a “team” coach or something of that nature. Needless to say I am not ready to set out on a soccer field mainly because of the weight gain, and ACL’s tend to be bilateral injury. I guess I Saw this website and finally deciding it is TIME for a change. I have a gym membership but it makes it hard to get there because of work. Would love some words of wisdom and suggestion; I would love to get off like 30lbs by the wedding, is that a realistic goal? Or more. Thanks!

30 lbs is definitely a realistic goal but you are going to need to be pretty good with your diet and cardio. I began in August and dropped 37 lbs up until now that's about the same time frame you are working with. I have worked out 5-6 times a week besides the diet though so you definitely are going to have to work to achieve that time frame.
