hey everyone

nice site, my name says it all

currently a 23 year old male, 250 pounds, yo-yo between 235-250. (Height 6' 1''

binge eating is definetly an issue i have as well as smoking. havent been fat for a while now for about ten years, all happened a year ago when i hurt my back pretty bad and fell into a cycle of being lazy and medicating.

ive been having troubles for a year so just reaching out to the net and trying something new, this site seems to have support for fat people so ill give it a shot.

goal weight is 180.

ill try setting up one of them weight ticker things.

Able to walk?

Yes, in fact I am pretty active, I do a lot of biking, approx 10-15 km a day. I am into running, but I get injured quicker when running, sore knees and ankles and back (used to downhill ski and compete in freestyle ski jumping). I also do light weight lifting with dumb bells. And lastly I stretch religiosly.

Cycling I find is way easier on my body then walking and or biking.

My diet is a main issue, what does it consist of?

Everything from frozen chinese dinners, to fast food 2 or 3 times a week, to bacon and eggs but suprising I never eat breakfast. Usually dont eat till about 1 pm in the afternoon, why is that? because I snack all night and do no get hungry again until 1 the next afternoon.

My diet is not that bad, I eat good good foods (and obviously not so good) its my night time snacking that kills my work outs. After supper time I just wont fill full and Ill go into this ritual in my head about what else Id like to eat down to the way I want to eat it, and so Ill eat what I think will fulfill and satisify me and that never happens and I just eat all the junk anyways.

Then after about 2 hours of snacking on crap, ill begin to feel like, crap.

Then ill smoke another joint (have a serious issue with chronic pain and medicating myself with marijuana). I honestly think marijuana can be beneficial, but not the way Im using it. Sure i medicate myself with pills and pain releivers but physically and mentally my main medication is marijuana. now, i only have a gram left to smoke today and i told myself that its, ive smoked way to long and need to take a break for a good 10, 20 years.

thats my rant, maybe ill get setup a weight ticket thing.

ill be honest with this forum, just writing this msg here made me feel a whole lot better, I live with my gf and try talking to her about how it sucks to be overweight (shes like 105 pounds, very hot, cant beleive shes with me still, I used to be hot, until i hurt my back and put on 70 pounds....)

sorry, just writing this msg made me feel a whole lot better, maybe i just need to hang out here more often.

hey shyguy, sounds like you have it figured out, you seem really active (really active) just the diet part, I wonder if the marijuana is giving you the midnight munchies? They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, try it for a while and see, (it takes 21 days to create a habbit), and thanks for sharing it helps me to see that others can relate. Good luck dude!

yeah its totaly midnight munchies, ill smoke late at nite and definetly eat past midnight...hard to break habits, ive heard the 21 day thing before and i beleive it, i actually just finished smoking the last of my stash so ill see if i can create a new habit of not smoking which sounds very friggin hard!

Welcome! I know if I smoked pot all the time I would be 500lbs instead of 259 right now. Maybe you should try just smoking on the weekends? Are you drinking a lot of water? That can help a lot. Sometimes when you have the urge to eat you are actually just dehydrated. Good Luck with your goals.

hey man how is life reefer free treating you? very intrested to know how you are doing. about the ticker deal, make sure you are cutting and pasting it in the window(the window box icon is located in the signature set up tool bar area on the CP deal, it took me like a 100 trys to get it so don't fret) have a good one! ker

well im on day one, its almost 5 pm.

im doing alright i figure, not really looking to smoke and the munchies are all gone. my last smoke was yesterday at 4:20 pm, so its been 24 hours since i quit.

honestly i feel quite good, ive taken breaks from weed before so its no big deal, not until I quit for a couple months, then ill be happy, the longest break i remember taking is two weeks.

im not really bugging at all to smoke, which is weird, maybe im just more prepared for it because i want to lose weight as well. let me go weigh myself, i swear i can lose between 5-10 pounds in a bowel movement!

thanks for checking up, i think ill start my own little online diary thing in that part of the forum.
