Hi! I'm new to the board.
Last year, I lost about 17 pounds for my wedding. After the wedding, I didn't really continue to diet and exercise as faithfully and ate badly and somehow maintained/lost more.
As of January, I decided to try to lose an additional 12 pounds to get to my perfect healthy weight (according to my doctor.) I began exercising every day again and eating better. I gained about five pounds.
Then this week, I joined a circuit training place (like Curves) and gained MORE weight. It was my birthday weekend, as well, so I ate terribly. According to the scale tonight, I'm up 7 pounds since last weekend!!! I am hoping that most of it is just water weight from my poor eating habits this weekend, but it's freaking me out. I am up 11 pounds from my lowest weight, making me 23 pounds away from my goal instead of the easy 12 pounds I had to lose three months ago!
I hope I can find the support I need to get through this initial muscle weight gain and not feel completely defeated. Thanks for having me here.
