Hi, everyone. I was searching the web for "new mom weight loss" last night and up popped this forum. What a score! I'm so glad to have found you all. What a friendly, supportive environment you've created for each other.

I'm a single working mom of one-year old twins. That still seems so weird to say... "mother of twins". Holy cow. Anyway, this past year I've taken great care of my babies while managing to run myself right into the ground. Now I'm too out of shape to get up again =)

Anyway, it's been a real boost reading your postings. Thanks.
 
Welcome Jade! Sounds like it's time to get you where you want to be! Healthy and happy. I'll be your weight loss buddy! The forum is great for support and I check in everyday to keep myself going. It's been a blessing! And it's so nice to have friends to share this journey with. Take one day at a time and set some small goals to accomplish. That will get your momentum going. Good luck this week and believe in yourself. I'm a twin, and I remember what a toll that took on my mom. hehe. especially her body. But she was always thin, we just gave her stretch marks to last a lifetime. Poor mom. Anyhow, keep us posted on your progress.
 
hey welcome and congrats on your twins, what sex are they? yeah i know how weird it is saying it and its hard to get used to lol. i have twins also, they are 4 yrs old boy/girl in preschool this year. i also have a 5 yr old in kindersarten. you will like this forum, looking forward to your posts!

ps: do you have the dreaded "twin skin" too? :eek:

How great to come home from work to such a welcome. Thank you both so much. I have boy/girl twins, too, WonderWoman. Aren't they the coolest things ever? And, yes indeed I have the body to prove it. I feel your mother's pain, Missjellybelly :) An undulating sea of cellulite, loose skin and stretch marks, that's me. But, now that I've connected with a couple of kindred spirits, I think the next time I am tempted to fix it all with peanutbutter malted milk balls... I won't.

Missjellybelly, I appreciate and welcome your kind offer to be my weight loss buddy. I will do my best not to suck as yours. That alone will motivate me to make a game plan and at least start. What's that saying? A trip of 1,000 miles begins with one step? Time to start steppin'.

BTW, WonderW.-- Congratulations to you on ALL of your children. Ah, preschool... to some it is just a word. To others, freedom. I hope you enjoy every well deserved moment.
