hey guys, just signed up. My weight has been all over the place my whole life. I gain weight very fast and it takes years to work it off. My body is ridiculous when it comes to being skinny and I don't know why :(

2017 was a terrible year. Lost my home, was fired from my band, had to move twice because I couldn't find a stable place to live, and struggled to find steady work. I put on a lot of weight due to stress.

I'm living in a stable place now, my income is still a little unsure, but I'm going to be okay. I started working out about 6 months ago and I cannot lose this weight. I've been working out 3x a week and I've cut sugar out of my diet and I'm still overweight. I'm losing my mind trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm getting incredibly frustrated and I'm ready to give up, but I'll talk more about those details in another post.

Anyways, hi guys.

Weight loss has 4 cornerstones, all which are of equal importance:

1 - Nutrition (water, protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals, fats, carbs)
2 - Physical Activity (breathing/stretching, strength training, cardio)
3 - Sunlight & Fresh Air & Proximity to Nature
4 - Sleep/Rest

You have a lot of stress in your life. I would reccomend starting with a stretching/breathing/relaxation program such as yoga or tai chi or quigong or meditation. You can find video routines on youtube. Doing this may help you centre yourself so that sleep and good nutrition get easier.
