I there. I just found this forum and it looks wonderful with alot of great support.
My name is Cheryl I am 33. I live in Oregon. I have been married 15 years and I have 3 children.

I am at the heaviest i have ever been in my life. I have just let myself go.
But as of January first i decided i was tired of being fat. So I have been excercising every other day on the gazelle and lifting 5 lb weights. I have been watching what i eat I quit drinking pop and eating candy and stopped my night time eating. And i have been trying to eat every 3 hours small meals.

January first i was 233 i weighed myself today and I am 225 i have lost 8 lbs. I had thought i had lost more. I was wearing a size 20 jeans and now i can fit into my old 18 with room.

So i hope to continue and succeed. My goal is around 150 i am 5'6" and that seems to be a good healthy weight for me.

My best friends wedding is in August so i hope to be getting close to my goal by then im not sure if that is realistic or not though.

I am always looking for adivce so if you have any please send it my way.

Welcome Cheryl! I too am 33 with three children. :)
Congrats on the weight loss since January 1st... it might not be as much as you'd hoped but it's a great start! I suggest you start a diary... it will really help keep you accountable and you'll meet lots of great people who can help and support you.
Again, WELCOME! :)

Welcome Cheryl! Congrats on your weightloss! I'm new too. I'm from NM and have 2 kids, I'm 31 and married 13 yrs. About 9 months ago my husband went crazy with a new digital camera he bought. He took some pictures of me and told me that he would have them forever to remind him of me. When I saw the pic's I was so embarressed, because that's not way I wanted to be remembered. It was at that time that I knew I had to buckle down and change myself. I havent been this motivated in a long time. Its a whole new mental ball game! It looks like I am doing about the same routine as you. I exercise on my gazzelle and I have cut my calories. I lift 3 lb weights. The weight will slowly come off; and thats OK-as long as it comes off! I wish you the best of luck on you journey! Im thinking of starting a diary as the other girls suggested. I find my self logging in everymorning for my shot of motivation! GOOD LUCK!.... Cabana:p
