Hi,
I have just started on a healthy eating program. I am taking a bit from Weight Watchers and a bit from the Strong Women Stay Slim program. But generally trying to increase my fresh fruit and veg and whole grains and reduce pre packaged, refined stuff. I am also trying to increase my activity levels too. I don't believe that I have to cut out foods completely, but I do need to be sensible about it.
So far after a week I have lost roughly half a kilo, but with lots of cheating I've never really been able to stick to a "diet" as such, but this time I am changing my habits slowly. Surprise, I do actually feel better when I eat better, I noticed the difference on the day that I had McDonalds and Burger King, I felt crappy.
I am also rediscovering foods that I haven't eaten in a long time, and I am enjoying them. I had an orange today for the first time in ages, and I loved it!
Anyway I'm glad that I found this site, thanks for having me
