New here..

Hello, I am a 35 year old mom of four trying to find the time and energy to get healthy. I have always been very active, but the last year I seem to have lost my motivation. It seems I burn the candle at both ends between work and home and somehow I have given up the things I used to do for myself. Hopefully I can find some motivation here!

Welcome to the site.

Welcome.
You've come to the right place, great site, information and motivation.
I'm at home with 3 kids so I know what you're talking about.

Welcome. I really thinks it comes down to mentally rearranging your priorities. Just think, what good are you to your job and your family if you are not healthy! This, and surround yourself with like-minded individuals like those found here, and you will find yourself on the right track.

Like stroutman said if you rearrange your priorities and just make time for some type of activity you will be amazed at how much your energy level, outlook on things and overall well being are better.

Just hang in there.

Welcome Missy!

You are definitely in like company!! I am a mom of two at 34 - and I completely get the balancing work/family/health challenge. Unfortunately for my business, that is usually what suffers...but that's okay for now:) Since I have committed myself to working out daily (for just 20-30 minutes - it's all I can afford!), I have FELT so much better and so much more capable of balancing everything! Good luck with motivation - I think you will like these boards:)

Welcome to the forum:)

Thanks

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am week one into changing my life and doing a fair job. The trick will be to keep it up. Nice to see a few moms out there. No one can really understanding what it is like to make those tummy muscles go back to where they started lol.

I forgot to post my goals. I am not sure of a weight goal, but I would like to be about 16% body fat. Right now I am at 20% per my calipers. I would like to gain energy and muscle. I currently am 5"6" tall and weigh 138lbs. Right now I am running for cardio and lifting 3 times a week alternating between upper and lower body ....I follow the BFL guidelines. Wish me luck!
