New here and thought intro myself

Hi all,
new here and thought I would introduce myself. I am a 41 yr old male, and have been working out at my gym the last few weeks. Ran across this site when I was browsing around tonight, and thought a good support group would be a good idea.

Currently 5' 9 and 179 pds. the majority of my wieght is right in my gut. Actually ALL my wieght is in my gut! Trying to gain muscle mass in the arms and legs, and would love to find out how to grow a butt lol.

Currently I am working out three times a week at least, and then soak in hot tub to relax muscles to keep the soarness at a min .

Look forward to reading and sharing with others and thought I would say hello.

Taylor H.

Hi Taylor, you want a butt lol Squats and Deadlifts.

Welcome Taylor!
Grow a butt?? I love it. I assume you sit alot and suffer from "Flat butt syndrome". Its okay...let start with something basic like squats. Its time to activate your gluteus muscles. As far as overall size...be patient my brother. Size will come with persistency. Evaluate your eating habits and get your body fat checkd at the local gym. Come back with a percentage and I may be able to help you with a total caloric intake goal.

Hey John and Newf,

Thanks for the responses lol Growing a butt is highly unlikely, I am as German as we get, and it is in my blood to have no butt, however gonna try and grow one anyway lol

Squats are scary to me, have back injury... however was looking at doing half squats with a bar, and a step, ???? What do ya think?

I am working on my lower body at the gym for the most part, and abs, but work on arms and shoulders at home with my free plates. I had been playing tennis on the feedback board until the weather started turning, and that was really helpful, now not sure what to do. I need to be outdoors, I thrive on it!

John I believe my body fat is 24% and will double check that for you. I feel weird because while i need to drop the gut a good 6 inches, I need to bulk up muscle everywhere else!

Again thanks guys! Good to find this site with support!

Peace,
Taylor H.

welcome :)
