New here and looking for fitness and nutrition advice. All help accepted!!

Hi everyone,
I'm a 43yo West Wales farmer who was involvolved with martial arts in his youth, specifically Karate for many years.
Having left the sport for many years and the ever increasing BMI becoming an issue and something that I wanted to sort out.
I decided to invest some money in secondhand gym equipment and have kitted out one of the buildings on the farm as a home gym.
All the equipement is of reasonable quality but is of commercial grade i.e. Life Fitness. That was something that I wanted in order to make this a long term but very real prospect.
I have been training for about 6 months now (as and when with work) and it's going well on the whole, had a couple of small muscular injuries but hopefully then will fully heal over time.

I'm here really to make new fitness minded friends and looking for advice on training, nutrition etc.

I have broke my sessions down to Cardio on Monday, Weights/bag Work on Tuesday, Rest Wednesday, Repeat Monday/Tuesday on Thursday/Friday and then maybe a quick road run warm up on the weekend with a session on hook and jab pads with a training partner.
