Hello there everyone. I am new here. I've been looking around for weight loss forums, and this one seems to be the most active. :)

I'm 22 years old, and 234 lbs. I've been overweight for most of my life (since my early teens). In the past few years I've become more motivated to eat healthy. I've made a lot of changes in my diet. I don't eat white flour or most processed foods, but I'm still at an unhealthy weight... so I decided that as well as eating more healthy foods, I'm going to work out daily and count my calories.

I started at 245 lbs, and in just over two weeks I have lost around 11 lbs (I know that seems like a lot for two weeks, but I'm eating enough, around 1500 calories per day). My goal is to weigh around 160 lbs, and when I reach that, if I feel I can lose more weight and still be healthy, I might try for more.

Nice to meet you all. :)

Hey, thanks you two! :)

I look forward to chatting to you as well.

Oh, before I go... I do keep track of everything I eat, have been doing so for the entire time I've been dieting. Sites like fitday are so helpful! :)

Wanted to post and say I stumbled onto another really cool one called sparkpeople.com!!! It allows you to count the calories of everything you eat, plus customize your fitness and nutrition plan!! Pretty cool!!!

I don't know though, I think it's going to be very hard for me to hit 1500 calories a day and not be hungry!!! But I'm going to try... Maybe I'm just not spending my calories on the right things?

Ah well we're all in this together!!

Wow, that site looks good! Thanks for the link! I can't wait to figure it all out! :D

Oh and by the way, eating 1500 calories per day and not feeling hungry (most days) is pretty easy! Just eat a lot of low calorie foods, enough to feel full, but keep track of everything. Make time for snacks, too. Depriving yourself of too much can make you go crazy and give up. :p

Hey you go!! Thats great, you have good goals. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thats what we are here for. GOOD LUCK!!!!
