New creatine, any comments

I've got about a week or a week and a half's worth of a new supplement I got from my sisters husband. It's called SizeOn. Anyone know anything about it, any drawbacks or side effects that I might want to know about?

Any info would be appreciated.

Use it up and never buy any yourself. This supp is overly glorified...its just some sugar, some amino acids you'd find in any protein shake, some unproven stuff...and then creatine gluconate which is actually an inferior source of creatine. Both Monohydrate and Ethyl Ester are better (more readily absorbed), cheaper forms.

So creatine is not a good idea? I still have some but it has expired back in 2006. It has expired 3 years ago so it is not safe to take any more?!

yep. all the research i've seen says Creatine Monohydrate is about the best. Creatine Ethyl Ester is also proven, and for peeps who get side effects from creatine mono (which don't get resolved by increasing water consumption a little) might wanna try Ethyl Ester. Its not that much more expensive.

500g of Mono should only run $15 in the US. that's 100 servings: 3 months worth. $60 a year.

Something like NO Xplode, which is creatine and a bunch of other crap like caffine, taurine, a little sugar, and NO2 supps.. will run you $50 for only 45 days supply.

And the extra crap is pointless (NO2) or over priced (if you want caffine drink a cup of black coffee).

Creatine Citrate, Malate and Gluconate have all been shown to have poorer absorption that Mono. or Ethyl Ester.

I'd go with Optimum Nutrition or AtLargeNutrition.com for creatine Monohydrate. Both use creapure processed creatine which is regarded as the best manufacturing process for purity.

Again Malkore beat me to it.

When i used creatine i would mix both Ethyl Ester and Mono to get maximum saturation though my cycles weren't to long, so either way your saturation will come.

Must Read About Creatine.

Very informative.
