I've been struggling with my weight for the last 10 years. About 3 years ago I broke up with a guy I had been with for 8 years and actually lost most of my weight I got down to 157 I tried to lose more but... I met the man of my dreams and have gained almost all the weight back I'm up to 200 atm. We now are planning to get married in 10 months I don't want to look like this by then. I was unhappy last year and said this was the year it would all change but here i am still at the same point from when i started. I need some sort of change to get things moving. Maybe a community with other people having the same struggles will motivate me to be my butt moving. This picture I've attached was at my Halloween party I don't want to look at another photo and be horrified by it. I want to be proud of it.

Welcome to the forum :)

It's so funny that I read this because I feel like our situations are really similar. I have struggled with my weight most of my life and now am at the heaviest I have ever been, also about 200 pounds. And I am also engaged to be married and need some kind of motivation to get going. Over the past 6 years I have lost and gained 50 pounds at least three times. I know what it takes to lose weight....I know what I need to do and should do, but I just can't seem to do it. And I'm completely fed up. I also just signed up with this site to see if it could somehow get me the support to do what seems to be so difficult to do.

Hello there,

The toughest part is always "getting started" and for the first few weeks after you start it will still be tough! but one thing is for sure, once you do start.. and you don't break the habit of either dieting with good food and working out for about 2 weeks.. and you start to see results, that's when the magic happens and you wont ever go back to your old habits.

"Motivation is what gets you stared, habit is what keeps you going"

Hi Welcome. I wish you all the very best , get your determined head on. The days will go by, the the weeks, then the months.

Getting cracking and give it your best shot .
