new and curious

So i have been going to the gym for alittle over the month now and its great. Im gaining muscle mass and toning the muscles up i already had. My question is, is there any types of supplements i should consider taking that will help me out or are important. Im new to everything so it may seem like a stupid question but im just wondering. I was looking into muscle milk? Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks

Most know on the forum, that I am not much of an advocate of over the counter supplements with the exception of these:

1. Fish Oil (I use)
2. Flax Oil (I use)
3. Whey protein powder (I use)
4. And, Creatine Mono/Ethyl Ester (which I havent tried or used)

The most important issue right now IF you are new to diet and training is learning the basic requirements of dieting and learning about fitness training--rather than OTHER over the counter supplements.

If you wish you can take Whey protein powder everyday.

What is your pre and post workout nutrition like? Have thought about this?

Best wishes to you!

I havent put a ton of thought into it. I just looked at that top 5 list of things to eat to loose weight and have been going by that. I try to eat things higher in protein on days im going to he gym, like yesterday i had a can of tuna for dinner. After the gym i had a baked potato and yogurt. I drink water all throught the day. I dont have a definite nutrition plan i just try to eat much better and wiser than i used to.
