I'm totally new to this. I feel a little dorky because I'm sure everyone starts by posting here, but.. I guess I'll be typical for now.
I'm 26 and I'm trying to loose some extra weight. I had a baby about 9 months ago, and I have some extra baggage. I'm not going to lie though, I've had some weight I've carried around before that as well. I guess the good thing, is most of my weight is concentrated right in the middle. I have started lifting weights 3 times a week and will try to do Cardio the same. I'm a terrible weight lifter, and I loose my motivation quickly. Hopefully this site will help.
I also started drinking a protein shake after my workout. I hope that is smart, because I see the calories in that thing, and I wonder if I could better use those somewhere else.
I have cereal in the morning, shake mid-morning, and... nothing exciting the rest of the day. I hope hope hope I can do this. I have about 15 lbs that are killing me. They are SO noticable, and killing my self-esteem. Even my husband is trying to motivate me, which is nice but also kinda sad.
Here goes nothing.
 
Hun.. 15lbs u can easly do. dont be discouraged. We asre here to support u aswell. :)
 
I am with you...my ideal weight is about 38 pounds away...it is hard, but for right now I am shooting for 15-20lbs...that would make such a HUGE difference for me. I would like to know, why when you are dieting do you NOT think of ANYTHING else except food. And it's all the food that you know you SHOULDN'T eat???
