Sport Nervous helps?

Sport Fitness
I overheard some people talking and they said " when your nervous your body produces certain kinds of protiens". any truth here or does anyone know what ur body does when ur nervous?

i dont think thats right (jmo)
even if it was true how r u gonna exploit that in any way

how does the body react o nervousness
increased blood flow to the muscles; reduced blood flow to digestive system

release of adrenaline hormones causing the sudden surge of energy

never heard of release of protiens

Nervousness can cause the release of cortisol...and that breaks down muscle mass. But that's all I know of.

Sarah
And cortisol can contibute to fat storage as well.

but thats very short term not something of use to weight trainers

you could find yourself extremely tired after a bout of nervousness;
since adrenaline causes a surge in energy levels it is released through the shake phenomenon or used in the activity carried there off draining off any energy in the body.

nervousness doesnt help at all.. and if it does anything its bad for you? I wouldnt say that professional lifters use this heh, but just every now and then people get nervous. Is there anyway to get ur adrenaline to flow in a voluntary basis? Im pretty sure adrenaline is involuntary but if it wasnt thatd be fun :D .

i guess you could use other emotions like anger

anger, joy, nervousness, fear all have pretty much the same responses

the pro lifters do use it too achieve some marginal results:)

I'm agreeing with Sarah in that you are probably referencing cortisol. Definately something you want to keep at bay. It is actually released from stress both in a fight or flight type of way but also from daily, corporate America stress. Google cortisol if you are curious.

refer to the below article below

"Thereafter, hypertrophy slowly relinquishes its role as a fundamental factor in progressive strength gains, with neurological and psychological factors taking over. Trainees become so used to lifting that improvement continues by implementing better methods of leverage while increasing the participatory rate of surrounding muscle groups to help lift progressively heavier weights * also known as adaptive coordination. Trainees also acquire the mental focus and discipline to better use emotions (e.g., anger) to volitionally 'will' weight up * the psychological factor."

nervousness is not easy to exploit
anger get the energy surged up

thats what i was talking about in the previous post :)

You do get better at using your emotions as you can control them on and off. I will look up cortisol sounds very interesting. The whole reason why i brought this up is because i usually am nervous im not really a ladies man and i suck it up around girls just getting into college its like uhhhh heh. Theres girls everywhre and im tryin to get better but its not something overnight :/.
