Sport Needs some opinions on bread

Sport Fitness
I have been buying this bread lately based on something I read in Men's Health mag. Bread made without flour, basically sprouted bread made with whole grains (i buy the kinda also made with flax). Has anyone had this before? It has really grown on me for sandwiches or a piece of toast in the AM with breakfast.

Has anyone else tried it and/or have any opinions on it?

Ingredients:
organic stone-ground whole wheat, water, wheat gluten, wheat bran, organic whole rye, flaxseed, sea salt, oat fiber, yeast, olive oil, ogranic apple cider vinegar.

Stats:
serving size - 1 oz.
100 Cals, 10 cals from fat
1g of fat (not sat)
sodium 90mg
Total carb 8g
Dietary fiber 3g
protein 5g

That's similar to the bread I eat. I love it!

I'm not a fan of bread. But the nutrition profile on that stuff is the best I've seen.

I wouldn't live off the stuff, but a slice or two a day shouldn't hurt at all.

I agree that it should be watched too. I definitely don't have it everyday, but when I do want it, I want something that won't spike my insulin too much and won't turn directly to fat. So far this is the best I've come across.

I never really have starchy carbs after lunchtime anyway unless it's a slice of this stuff right before my workout.

I think I agree with the other posters - you really have to watch how much bread you eat, since it can rack up the calories really quickly. (As can other carb sources like pasta, rice and potatoes.)

Bread is awesome

Bread is so tasty. How could someone not like bread?

I eat bread every day. Some days bread is so good I will eat a whole loaf. Some days I will eat 4 - 5 pbj's just to sate my thirst for bread.

Eat bread and be happy.

Its not that we dont like it, I like bread. I just choose not to eat it.

Why?!?!?

Why not eat bread? Why torture yourself?

Most days I will eat two slices of whole wheat bread, but one or two times a week I will eat like 5000+ calories and I make sure bread is one of the sources.

Its those damn century rides and 15 mile runs... make me so hungry.

Sounds like you guys have bread phobia. Theres plenty of bread that can be good for you, just choose the right type and you can make anything yum yum.

For those that are curious:

Here is the link to the type of bread that I described in my original post
