should add,im 19 stone and i want to lose at least 7 stone.how long will it take to achieve this goal?

How serious are you? By that, I am not trying to be insulting just trying to work out the time and effort you are prepared to dedicate to this...you didnt put the weight on overnight, so you wont lose it that way either.
I recommend a high soy protein weight loss plan, together with regular daly exercise. What you need to do is build lean muscle, by doing this you will kick start your metabolism - which has probably become quite sluggish.
Try to find a particular exercise aim - half marathon, 20 mile walk or something!
Take a look at my website - for advice and inspiration!

If you are really serious about getting in shape, and it should certainly be a priority, then you must understand how your body works.

The most fundamental answer is to control your blood glucose/insulin levels. The way to do that is to eat low carbs. If you are unable to lose fat, then you have to consider that the foods you eat drive insulin surges in your bloodstream, which leads to hypoglycemia and prevents fat burn for energy. You will crave more carbs, even when feeling full.

Have frequent meals. Every 2-3 hours. By feeling hungry when you eat not only are you setting yourself up to overeat, but your body will also rush to store everything as fat!

Another extremely important aspect of your diet is your omega-6:eek:mega-3 ratio. Many clinical studies today show how too much omega-6 consumed (vegetable oils is a primary example) may be the biggest link to obesity and the resulting massive health complications

Keep away from hydrogenated oils, soy (except soy lecithin), trans fats, and polyunsaturated fats. Omega-3 fish oil should be used as a supplement. Forget about calories -- monitor your carbs! I won't be able to tell you how many carbs unless I know your stats.

Be sure to add exercising to your diet.

The benefits of changing your eating habits include, reduced anxiety/depression, better sleep, more energy, no carb/sugar cravings, rapid fat loss, better memory, improved thinking, reversing insulin resistance, etc.

You are not to blame for being overweight! You are loaded with incorrect information regularly, especially from most major health organizations. Learn how to burn the fat for good. Improve your life, feel better, live better. Do it now!
