need to lean up for summer

Hello all,
I'm Nick and im 16 years old. I used to be a xc runner, and really enjoyed it too. On our offseason (which is really distance track) i was warming up at a meet and tripped and fell on my hip. I felt a slight rip, and told my coach, but he said after the race, you can go see the trainer. So I ran and felt terrible and went to the trainer the next day. After two weeks with no results, he sent me to a orthopedic surgeon to determine if anything was wrong. The doctor said I was faking and it was a matter of me being able to take the pain. So the coaches made me keep running until the point i could not climb stairs any more (literaly). We went to the childrens hospital and another doctor said some ligament had detached from my hip bone or growth plate. If it was caught when i fell, it would have been 4 weeks because the injury itself is not too serious. But after running on it for a couple months, it could not heal and I was out from March'07 to December of '07. I lost everything I had achieved and now I am on the road to becoming a fatty. I am 5'10'' and 166 pounds. There seems to be a layer of fat around my body. I have been running again off and on and now want to really try to start to loose weight and maybe even try out next year. I am going to follow a workout plan that involves a ton of running and calisthenics like push ups, situps ect. My diet was horrible but now I am trying very hard to eat right. ANY tips would be GREATLY appreciated, especially concerning abs and diet. Well, hope my next post is my first work out on my new regimin. hopefully, this will be my longest post and ill try to keep it at a minimum. Thanks!!

find out what exercised you can do safely, like upper body, and then do them. see a nutritionist or ask your dr about your weight - you're still growing, you know

and don't expect miracles overnight.

3 mile jog-21:00
~~~~~~~~(hour later, put it off till i felt guilty)
50 sit ups
3 sets of 20 pushups 40 sec 6 inchers

voluteered at a special olympics track meet yesturday. very inspiring to see the athaletes practice pay off. this site is good modivator, didnt feel good till i did a work out to put up
