Need to find a workout buddie or 2

Hi maybe I worded my title wrong but I really could use a workout buddie someone to compete with on a daily basis.
I am 43 years old and I wanted to lose just over 30lbs of body fat I have struggled with this weight all my life and now that I am in my 40's losing weight isn't as easy as when I was in my twenty's, anyone else feel that way? Anyhow I decided that this time I would like some company on my weight loss jouney and not do it alone, be accountable to someone else other than myself, to know that someone else is trying to be a healthier and fitter person, because in my household no one needs to lose any body fat, my sister who does need to lose body fat is happy with herself and does't like change, she gets huffy when you talk health. So that is why I thought to join this group because I didn't want to feel so alone any more on my weight loss journey. So I hope you all don't mind but I would like to come in here daily with the ideal that I can share with you all if I had done a workout and ate healthy for the day or not and for you to do so to please? Would someone join me please?

HI there!

First off, welcome! Second, congrats on taking your first steps to a healthy lifestyle. I know it is really hard to deal with the isolation of dieting and exercising when there aren't any others in your immediate circle willing or needing to share the journey with you. Most people don't give the isolation any thought when they decide to lose weight, because either they don't expect it or they don't realize it at the time. Many people try hard to tempt us off of our diets just to see if they can or to get you to come back to the "normal" way of things. I'm happy you're taking a step into a healthy lifestyle, regardless of whether people in your life need to or do not want to. It takes a strong and motivated individual to stick it through.

That said, I look at this whole forum as one giant group of workout/weight loss buddies. People pop in and pop out with their ideas, trials, pointers and kudos all the time, so I've found workout buddies in all of those people I've had correspondence with on here. Reading and posting here often has helped keep me motivated and working toward my goal (and I notice a dip in my motivation and focus when I haven't been online much), even when it seems I'm the only one in my real life that cares about it. Stick with it and enjoy all this site has to offer! Good luck!
