Need Some Tips

Hey guys, my name is Noah. I'm almost 19 and I live in a rainy corner of Washington state. Currently I'm teetering towards a path I don't want to go down as far as my weight goes. Over the past few years I've put on a little bit more since I started working retail. I do an extremely large amount of walking, crouching, kneeling and running every day at work as well as occasional heavy lifting, but I'm approaching 245lbs and I'm not happy about it. I want to be down to 190lbs and keep it that way. My issue is that I am addicted to coffee as well as the fact that stress causes hunger and I'm extremely tired when I get home from work, so I'm wondering what some good exercise routines are to help me out or maybe some good diets? I love most types of food including healthy dishes and salads. I used to ride my bike everywhere or walk before I started driving and I suppose the human body just adapts. I want to lose weight as quickly as possible.

Hi Noah, thanks for sharing your situation. Know that you can change, change is always possible. My situation, as a relatively big guy (6'4" and 2 55 pounds), I need to maintain control of the fat and boost muscle development.

Strategies I have implemented are having smaller more frequent meals focused around foods that enhance my metabolism. The benefits of an enhanced metabolism is that fat burn is accelerated and continues to accelerate. These foods are berries, kale, almonds, lean meats, cinnamon, hot peppers, garlic. This strategy allows me to be less hungry but also giving my body heightened sense of energy consumption. I have worked out how to control how I satisfy my cravings, don't buy the junk and snack on natural sweets (snacks, nuts or even smoothies)

I have incorporated an active routine 4 times a week that works with the metabolism boost and stimulates the fat burn.

A crucial part is to get your mind set on the goal and hold onto the positive self image of your future self.

I hope these help and good luck on your journey.
