Need some tips and help

Alright, lemme start out, I'm fifteen years old. I'm currently 5'7 and weigh 130 pounds, *Scale said 129.5 but whatever*. I'm looking to strengthen my arms, and get rid of the layer of fat hiding my abdominal muscles. *Although I'm not entirely sure if it's a large layer or small, it's kinda hard to tell*. Anywho, I've quit off things such as candy, soda, and sweet sugary things. Drinking about 8-12 bottles of water a day, and have been working on a routine at home.

Still working on this routine, started it like a few hours ago. Remember, I'm also very new to this so any suggestions or replacements are appreciated! I have been actually working out for a few weeks, but when I figured you can't just do random crap I decided to come here for help.

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
3 sets, 10-15 each of Standing Dumbell Curls
3 sets, 10-15 each of Sitting Dumbell Curls
3 sets- 10 each of bench presses
4 sets- 20 each Pushups
4 sets- 10 chinups per set.

Now for the abdominal region, I'm still working on this. But this will be done Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I was told jumprope is much more effective than jogging or running. *Although I'm not too good at it, started yesterday* and boy, you sure do feel it working!

Training Tips

Since you're really young, you need to start out with the basics. It sounds like you have access to weights, so just learn how to squat, bench and deadlift at first. With just those three exercises, you will gain weight if you're eating enough. Ditch the curls for now because your arms will grow as the rest of your body grows for a while.

As far as your abs showing, just get control of your diet and they will show. It's a matter of how and what you eat more than the exercises you do. There's no such thing as spot reduction.

Good luck!
