I'm trying a GNC total body transformation diet... 2 weeks long, and I'm hoping it will give me a good jump start to lose my last 30 pounds. My problem is... I never want to eat any of the meals offered on the program! I like the shakes, mostly because it's so frickin hot at my work lately that no matter how hungry I am, I don't want to eat :-/
I like sandwiches (turkey, homemade bread with none of the bad sugars, lettuce, mustard, and usually no cheese or mayo). I like cereal. Ok... I like breads. And therein lies my problem. I'm getting my fruits up (I live in Hawaii... fruit is everywhere!) and working on my greens with soy beans. I don't eat a lot of veggies, but planning on buying carrots tomorrow. I don't get a lot of protein (another reason to love the shakes!) but that's not what I'm needing right now.
I need some good advice for healthy food that is seriously quick/easy to make, and hopefully cheap (food out here is expensive, so it's hard to make meals that need lots of ingredients). I don't cook, I hardly eat hot food, and basically I'm lazy about what I eat.
What is there? This has got to be the place to go for tips. I'm lactose intolerant, but can handle small amounts of yogurt. Any ideas for breakfast/lunch/dinner? Snacks I got down easy (nuts, bars, veggies), but meals are my weakest area. Please please please lend me your knowledge and experience to help a girl in need!
