need some help

hey everone i train 5 days a week for 2 hours and leave the 2 other for complete rest and have been since june 08 i am not seeing any results at all even tho i eat , train and rest well , my friend who joined the gym with me at the same time has changed massivly in this time i dont understand it. I have over the past 6 weeks been taking protein shakes which so far have only made me feel ill and spend money.

If anyone can suggest anything to help me would be much appreciated.

Yeah, a 2 hour training session is too long. I'd also say that 5 days a week is too many.

When you say ill, do you mean that the protein shakes make your stomach hurt? That shouldn't happen. Are you buying good quality protein?

Re-evaluate your routine and diet. I suspect that is the reason why you are not seeing any results. Figure out your BMI and adjust your diet accordingly.

A few issues that you might want to look at:

1) how is your diet?
-- you should be intaking 1g of protein per lb of bodymass
-- are you getting enough carbs? ideally, you want a 30% protein/50% carb / 20% fat. But everyone is different
-- Is your total calorie intake daily exceeding your usage by about 300 calories?
-- Try keeping a food log (in detail: cal, carbs, fat, protein) of EVERYTHING you eat.

2) Try to go heavier weight and lower rep / sets and longer rest period for power training while keeping the form proper.

3) What is your workout split? Working out full-body from M-F and resting on weekend is not the most effective way to build muscle. Try doing m-w, Th off, F+S, Sun off. Or just do 4 days and workout: m,tu, th, f. Let the body rest.

Like evan said, it's either your diet or routine. I am GUESSING it's probably both and you might be running around in circles and staying at maintaince or it might just be pure genetics.
