Need some help plz

hey guys ive been doign weight training for a few months now, i do weights every other day and was wondering is it alright to do pushups on my day off/cardio day, im planning on joining the military and as we know pushups are a regular thing and i kind of want to work it into my routine. Any info would be extremely helpful thanks :D

well it depends on your goals, rest, diet as always. if you are trying to get big and muscular, pushups on your off days/cardio days will be fruitless and waste of time. if you want to get good at pushups, and be ready for military conditioning, do what you have to in order to be prepared.

I dont know about doing it on an off day but to get stronger have someone push down or put a weightdisk on your back while doing pushups

you dont have to. How many pushups will you have to do in the military? if its like 30 atleast, train to reach that number. I doubt they put weight on your back while doing pushups in the military, they are usually all about reps. If you can do more pushups than the next person, "you are stronger than him"..

30+ should be easy. Next mile stone is 50, then it gets hard. I'm on between 75 and 100. It would be beneficial in your situation to do push ups.

That is what I did before I went into the military. Lift 3 days and do cardio and cals on off days with a day off. I smoked everyone there when I got there. Of course, most guys in basic dont have a clue. Don't forget the most important exercise - Pull ups.
