and drinking lots of water. does it seem like im on the right track? im already getting a little bored with what im eating. im curious to find out what others have had success with. also are there any supplements that i should be taking?
good luck to everyone

I'ma let you in a little secret. Its called calorie tracking software.

Tracking calories helps you pretty much eat whatever you want once you get it down, and still lose weight. I feel its been the difference in why im doing good this time, vs the other times.

im already getting a little bored with what im eating.
I'll just respond to this. If you're getting bored with what you're eating, just eat what you like, just less of it and count your calories. That's my un-expert advice. My reasoning behind it is if you want the weight loss to be long term then you gotta at least like what you're eating, so you don't end up going off your plan and gaining the weight back.

Fish oil, creatine, and a multi. A low carb protein powder, ideally vanilla so you can mix in flavors

I think atkin diet is four short term..for long term you need balanced diet...exceed intake of protein may harm your kidney..that my opinion

just wanted to let you know i went to the book store and checked out the book you were telling me about(looks good) couldnt afford it yet but ill get it. i have the fish oils and protien powder too.
have a good one

yea im starting to agree with you with atkins. i was on it before and lost a ton of weight but ive gained it all back. i think my best bet is to keep it simple
eat better foods, smaller portions and exersize(although im already dreading that) but i need to think positive right

We offer a free consultation as well as a free training session if you like, and we offer all of our services online in addition to in person.

If you're just on here to pimp your own products, please go away. I've seen this same post in several threads already.

I know I'm new here, but there's a lot of great people, like Steve, who get people like me to visit their website by offering great advice and being helpful and making me WANT to know more about them, so I check out their profile where it IS OKAY to pimp yourself.

you got the basic principal. Move more, eat less :)

Congrats on taking action!

In my experience, your diet is the primary factor of how much and how fast you'll lose.

When I added as much fresh fruit and veggies as possible I dropped most of my weight in less than a month (I was 50 over). And even though it was boring at first, it became very interesting as time went on and I was able to learn more about making healthier meals, interesting combinations, etc. So many healthy things started tasting really good :)

I'd recommend cutting out all the dairy and having meats only occassionally (if at all) if you want to get the results. The longer I kept these in the longer I struggled.

And diets really don't work, just lifestyle changes. I know that we all want a quick fix and a shortcut here and there but the truth is that a healthy lifestyle and daily, regular exercise is really the only thing that works in the long term... and permanently.

Hope that helps and good luck!

Mark

ya so he could loose all his muscle, but yet still see a drop in the scale!! only the "weight" loss is muscle, so he will be skinny fat. good advice there chief. If you are gonna spew such garbage, at least have some reasoning behind it.

hi everyone, thanks for all the support and responses. just thought id do an update. right now im cutting out bread/rice/pasta everytime i eat stuff like that i tend to get realy hungry later. i cut meats down to two-four servings per week. haveing either a protien shake or cerial for breakfest, salad or a stirfy(without rice) for lunch. and ive made veggie burgers/veggie chili/cooked veggies and fruit for dinner or ill have some chicken or potabella mushrooms. it seems to be working out ok. still searching for things to make it more intersting. i weigh in tommorow so i let you know how it turned out.
good luck to everyone.
