Need plan for beginning workout

I just joined a women's fitness club (Total Woman) and would like help creating a plan for my workout. My biggest goal is just simply - going! I am a bit intimidated by it all, but it is a comfortable place and I really need it.

My plan is to do 10 min treadmill - then strength building on machines - then more cardio. Now, if I were to just choose four strength building areas at this time - 3 sets of 10-12 reps each - which ones should I do?

Welcome to the site!

I'd do a variety of the exercises. Maybe focus on upper body once a week, and lower body once a week?

And of course, cardio whenever possible :)
 
howdy well back in my gym days it was cardio everyday you worked out. the tredmill is great but they make this cruel torture device called a ski machine that will really get your heart rate up. now being a guy it was chest/back then another day was legs then another was abs but for a woman there are prob different orders of importance. the main goal was to do one more than you thought you possible could and then do one more than that the next time..........
