I'm a 31 year old mother. I have pcos and insulin resistance. Height 154 and weight 72. I need to lose at least 14 kg's.

My problem is that I always crave so much sugar, chocolates and carbs and was never able to stick to a diet.
Now I'm choosing to start on Atkins diet phase 1 and I will be writing my daily meal plans and would like for you to help me count my carbs intake and any advice to help me with the diet..

Breakfast:-
I usually skip breakfast but I tried to force myself to eat this morning
I had 1/4 of a a small cucumber. Around 70g iceberg lettuce and 1/4 of a small green capsicum.

Lunch:-
3 button mushrooms sautéed in butter and 2 eggs omelette with 1tsp cream, 3 turkey bacon and it says on the pack 0 carbs,

Snack:-
Green tea with no sugar
Atkins advantage bar chocolate decadence (2 grams carb)

Couple of hours later I started craving sugar again so I had another snack of Atkins Endulge chocolate coconut bar (2.1 grams carbs)

Dinner:-
1/2 small avocado
1 tin tuna in olive oil (says 0 carbs on the can)
50 grams iceberg lettuce,
1 tbsp coriander leaves
1/4 cucumber
Olive oil+ white wine vinegar

Snack:-
Green tea with 0 carb sweetener

How many grams of carbs have I taken for this day? And what might help with the sugar cravings I'm having.. I'm not feeling hungry at all, I fact this is probably more than what I would eat on a regular day but I usually let myself loose on sugars and carbs.. Please share your advise with me

Hi I know it is so hard to cut certain things out of our diets. I'm not to sure how much the Atkins diet costs but I started using a natural product, that doesn't require diet but rather encourages healthy eating in hand with their products (that are actually really affordable), which you choose based on your needs. I on average spend about $100 give or take (based on my monthly needs). You can do this! Another thing that really helped me is cutting out wheat, whole grain and white. If you love your wheat you can always try gluten free. Best of luck :) Message me if you would like to further discuss.

I have found that cutting out refined sugar for a while drastically reduces cravings. Refined sugar has addictive qualities. If you think of it like quitting cigarettes or drugs, that might help you.

I can't even drink typical juice these days because I can't stand the sweetness! But fruit works for me. Everything natural.
