Hello, I'm Anonymous15.

I'm a basketball player (mostly street and still learning some tricks. Like Slip n' Slide...), and a Junior High Student. Since I like working out so much, like running and weight lifting. I'm wondering how do your train your calfs? Because I don't know most of the excersizes for calfs. If you do, mind telling me the excersize and how to do it? Thanks.

Wowwww....none of you here never worked on your calfs???

try jumping squats - have a light bar across your shoulders, do a deep squat with good form, then jump up into the air and repeat.

Also burpees are a cardio as well as muscle-intensive exercise: from a press up position, bring your knees into your chest so you are resting on the balls of your feet, from here jump stracight up into the air with a straight back, then upon landing, immediately assume the squatting again, then thrust your legs out behind you to form the press up position.

Repeat this squat thrust/jump and you will find you get out of breath very quickly, as well as hit your thighs and calves hard.

Also try plyometric calf jumps: Jumping on the balls of your feet, the very instant you land, jump again. there is constant tension in the calf and you leave no time to actually land and touch your heels to the ground. this develops power in the calves.

also try combinations of heavy weight/lowrep and low weight/high rep on a sitting calf machine or standing with your heels off a step.
