Need Help

Im new to this so apologies if my wording is not up to scratch. Ive searched the forum for any topics relating to my query but could not find what I was looking for so any help would be appreciated.

After being out of playing soccer for the past two years with a knee injury im now back in pre season training and finding it tough to say the least. Im looking to take an all round supplement to aid my comeback but am unsure which one to purchase. Ive researched which supplements help footballers and noticed i need a mix of:

Glutamine
BCAA
Creatine
Vitamin B
Caffeine
Flax Seed
Vitamin E
Ginseng
Ginkgo Biloba

Is there a product on the market which would roughly have these ingredients or would I have to buy each separate, which I dont want to do. Is there a commonly known supplement which soccer players take ?

Sorry but ive searched everywhere and cant find the right product or info.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Glutamine - NO
BCAA - NO
Creatine - helpful, but not NEEDED
Vitamin B - take a daily multivitamin and eat right
Caffeine - what? NO
Flax Seed - take fish oil caps, not flax seed.
Vitamin E - - take a daily multivitamin and eat right
Ginseng - no
Ginkgo Biloba - no

spend some time browsing the forums and searching on your specific supplements. You don't NEED a single thing on that list. I labeled the ones that are useful and the ones you shouldn't waste money on.

Being from the UK, soccer is our major sport and I'm lucky enough for it to play a large part in my life. (What position do you play out of interest?)

For me personally I think all you would need is-
Whey Protein, Multi-vitamins and a clean diet.

Put everything into your pre-season fitness wise (eg- lots of running, bike, cardio work) and slowly get yourself back into the playing side of things. After two years out your knee and leg will have weakened so don't go making any huge sliding challenges, etc until you are sure it is strong and ready. Make sure you continue to practice techniques but just don't push yourself too much to play in competitive matches. You'll know when you are ready.

it takes a long time to get back to full fitness, a professional coming back after 3 months can take up to 5 reserve games to become match fit again so don't push too hard too soon. concentrate on strengthening the knee, play some training matches (if you play for a time) and lots of cardio. btw practise with a ball on your own lol i missed a year with an achilles problem and my legs felt like jelly on the ball lol

What exactly are trying to gain from taking supplements (i.e. faster recovery, workout strength, hypertrophy etc.)

Malkore has sent down his verdict on the list and I agree somewhat BUT what exactly are you looking for that you are not already getting from nutrition:confused:
