Need help with weight loss.

Hello, my name is Liz and I am looking for some advice about metabolism and weight loss.

I need to drop about 40 lbs so I took up my old hobby of bicycling. I try to ride anywhere from 75 to 100 miles a week at what is a moderate pace for me. I also eat pretty healthy as far as fruits and vegs and try to stick with lean meats such as chicken and grass fed beef.

My problem is that I have lost only 3 lbs in about a month. I am very disgusted . I am 48 years old and have never had this type of problem before. Any advice would be appreciated.

3 lbs in a month is actually a good rate of weight loss... Keep it up! It's possible that, with the added exercise, you might be eating more calories than before. You said that you're 48, are you by any chance going through menopause or have you already?
