OK I REALLY NEED HELP WITH FITNESS... There's all this talk about creating a 500 calorie deficit and if you only eat 1200 calories and work out you can actually not lose weight.. blah blah blah!! WHO HERE KNOWS?? My BMR is 1738
and... I want to lose 40lbs by end of November. How many calories should I eat, and how many calories should I burn thru exercise? Thanks! 2694 is what my body needs to maintain its current weight. If that helps anyone. Also, says I should not eat less than 1694 calories a day..how will I lose weight eating that much...? Or do I not know something? I have a membership to a gym and I've been going faithfully. I usually do incline interval training for about 20ish min. If ANYONE can tell me what I should be doing... any help whatsoever I'd be grateful. I don't have $100 bucks or more to have someone help me here.. thats what everyone seems to charge to get help from. :( Thank you!!!!

Hey!

First off how tall are you, what's your weight, and age? Sorry these are a few things that are important to know (in my opinion) before giving any advice.

Ok thanks.

If you go to my diary on my page, I gave an outline of things I did to lose the weight (and continue doing). It took me about 9 months to lose 30 lbs., but that's the amount i needed to lose to get to my goal weight. I'd say get rid of the time limit so you don't get discouraged. If you want weight loss that will actually stay off it takes much more time than gimmick diets and these television series portray. It might have taken me a while, but I've been able to maintain my goal weight for a year now. It feels great and you can do it too!

so far i've lost 15lbs in a month and 1 week. i've found that the changes i made to diet are easy, and i actually like eating the things im eating now as compared to a burger and fries at jack in the box...lol. i go to the gym 5-6 days a week and do light muscle building and then i do the treadmill doing interval training for 20-40 min.. depends on how i feel. i really enjoy it alot.

15 lbs. in 5 weeks is amazing!! Sounds like you are doing the right things, so keep on that track.
