Need help please

Hello, i am 26, 6foot1 and 215lbs. I have lost 10pounds in the first 2 weeks of dieting but put it back on 2 weeks later. I havent made any changes in diet or exercise. I try to eat around 1800-2000 calories a day and a g of protein per lbs of body weight. I track everything i eat in myfitnesspal by under armour. I do not eat carbs except on my weekend cheat days. Please help. Why has the weight come back on although im following the same i used to drop 10 ? I feel like giving up. Please help with tips and others information that can help !! THANKS
 
Hey Up and welcome to the forum. Eating fewer carbs than you´re used to would make you drop a good amount of water weight - which would return as soon as you start eating carbs again so given that it´s Monday morning that may be part of the problem. Apart from that: do you just eat more carbs during the weekend and otherwise stick to your normal calories or do you eat a lot more? I know I personally can easily destroy a week of progress in a single sitting. That´s all I can think of given what you´ve told us.
 
No this peoblem has been going on for 2 weeks not just because its monday today. And yes i eat calories in a surplus on weekends.
 
Ok, if you´re weighing regularly you would know that of course. Do you know your weekend surplus or do you play it by ear? Depending on your activity levels you may have only a 500 kcal daily deficit on weekdays, which is less than a pound lost in a week if you eat at maintenance during the weekend (after dropping the water weight). Eating a surplus during the weekend would lower that further so you don´t have an awful lot of room to splurge.
