need help please?

What do you guys think about Mus-L-Blast is it a good source of protein? What do you gus recomend Im trying to gain muscle but loose fat.

one 4 scoop serving is 21 grams of protein and 67 grams of sugar. it only supplies 10 servings per container :(

IMO, i would pass on this one

is the place Im going through right now, you can make your own formula, in however many pounds you want it in, with whatever protein you want. I made a blend specificaly designed to help me work better, like morning coffie but 5 times better.

it really depends on what your idividual situation is, and what your looking for. so if you want just all around good postworkout shake. it could look somthing like: 30% Whey Protein Isolate Ion-exchange , 10% Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Concentrate , 20% Calcium Caseinate , 10% Egg White Protein , 15% Maltodextrin , 15% Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's) , with Aminogen, and vits. just a rough idea or you could go all whey. but if you want to add flax or creatine obviously you would need to change it around. the one I use for like a morning coffie type thing is 40% Calcium Caseinate , 30% Milk Protein Isolate , 10% Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's) , 20% Taurine Powder and the aminogens and vits. that will be good for get up and go sorta thing.

wow! thanks for sharing that site. Those are some very reasonable prices for basic protein, let alone customized.

i use them right now for my milk/egg blend. you'll see there are 5 of these proteins, you need 100% so 100 divided by 5 is 20% of each.

when i finish my dymatize whey, i will begin doing a pwo blend.

there flavors are incredible, really good. just an extra note, there is also proteinfactory.com to do the same thing. i usually do a blend there because it tells you the protein, carb and fat content, then i go order from true protein :)

I would like to add creatine, would this be good?

30% Whey Protein Isolate Ion-exchange
10% Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Concentrate
20% Calcium Caseinate
12% Maltodextrin
15% Branch Chain Amino Acids
7% Creatine Monohydrate
6% Dextrose

I'm just guessing here...

well you could do that, but in my experience there are times where you might not want to add creatine, so buying a seperate tub of it might be best. I like to keep my protein % around 70, otherwise looks good.

Thanks. :)

I always like mixing my protein with milk. So I was thinking, maybe I could make my ideal protein powder 85-100% protein. Would that not work? Or do you need other stuff? I'd probably want to add in glutamine or flax, but I don't see why I would need to add the carbs like dexatrose? or am I wrong and those carbs are critical? what do you pump fanatics think?

if there was a single best protein mix, there would be no reason to have it cutomized. they would just sell that mix. but what you want in your powders will depend on what your goals are and the conditions in which you talking the powders, like what you eat before and after, what you might mix in with your powders, the time of day, your average energy levels for before hand, how active you are previously in the day, other things you might be taking. and the list goes on and on, on that sight you can click on the names of the stuff like dextrose or hydro whey whatever and it will bring you to a page that explains exactly what it's used for and some other helpfull info, form there you can figure out a fomula thats best for your persional needs.

the carb powders are primarily for post workout blends...where you need a surge of easily absorbed carbs to replenish glycogen stores, and open the cell walls to receive nutrients.

aight i understand. so its good to have some carbs in the mix after all. i heard dexatrose is really good for fast absorption.
