Give us some more information on where you are now. How much do you weigh right now? How much do you want to lose? How many calories are you eating per day?

Those last 5-10 pounds are the hardest! :)

What are you doing as far as working out and eating, specifically? I think at this point, making sure that you're getting a good amoutn of protein and really managing your calories is crucial.

at wrestling practice we do about a 20 min job / warmup then conditioning such as push ups crunchs and such
and as far as wat i eat is oatmeal or special k, for lunch ill have some fruit and for a snack ill try to eat something small such as a nutrition bar and for dinner ill eat meat such as steak, pork chops or chicken maybe will corn or broccali

Eat small, frequent meals. Extending the time between meals makes your body go into "starvation mode," which decreases your metabolism as a means to conserve energy and prevent starvation. Skipping meals does not help you cut calories or lose weight; in fact, people generally eat less overall when they eat small, frequent meals. In addition to having four to six small meals per day eating healthy snacks will also increase metabolism.

It's getting old. Meal frequency does NOT have a significant influence on your metabolism, and is mostly a matter of personal preference. Some people work better with small, frequent meals, others will have better results with fewer, bigger meals. Having just two or three meals a day will NOT make your body go into starvation mode whatsoever. Not giving it enough energy (i.e. calories) will do that, nothing else.

As for the OP, try writing down everything you eat and check the calories. Special K for example is packed with calories, unless you only have a very small amount. Low fat does not equal low calorie, or healthy. So you need to know exactly what you are eating. What are the 'healthy' snacks you have? How many calories do they contain? How much chicken do you have for dinner? What do you have with it? Make sure that your nutrition is in check (not just your calories), then look at your exercise. Your metabolism should be the last thing you worry about, because if you eat properly and exercise, it will burn away the cals just nicely.
